From Monday 5th March 2018 we are introducing a new ‘on the day’ appointment system. We request patients contact the surgery between 8:00am and 11:00am ON THE DAY THEY WISH TO BE SEEN. You will be asked by the receptionist to provide a brief indication of why you are calling. The receptionist will then inform you that one of the clinicians will ring you back to discuss your call. The receptionist will inform you that you should be available to take a telephone call from the Clinician and ask if there are any specific times you are not available. Please note that the telephone number we call you from may be a ‘withheld’ number. Please do not ignore this call as we will only make one further attempt to call you again.
Please note that this is an ON THE DAY system – there will no longer be any appointments available for booking in advance. You will need to contact the surgery on the day you wish to be seen, whether this is for an urgent or a routine matter. The Clinician you speak to on the telephone will decide on a course of action. They could provide you with an appointment time to come into the surgery, they could prescribe medication over the telephone, they can provide test results and advice over the telephone, they could direct you to an alternative provider such as a local pharmacy.
